When Once Spring Fell in Love with Winter

I once knew a boy with springtime eyes and a smile that led up to sunshine. He lived by a girl who had wintery hair and a gaze that could turn you to snow. They met in the summer next to the swings at the park where the water shoots out of the ground. And when the water flow slowed and the autumn chill bit, their songs blended concerto one to four. Their two-toned chord held long enough for the storm clouds to break. Then that girl, silly girl, with the wintery hair met a boy who smelled just like summer and she melted so hard and he froze up so fast, that springtime had no time to shine. Mother had lost her ebullient humor.  The sores had taken her smile away, and the storm clouds, having broken the tenets of time, pigmented her complexion with hues of age, leaving her weary among her timeless sisters. Her children, born without father and thus selfish, found love in only her jewels:  in youth, they'd observed the strange sparkle of her skin and, beguiled, asked to borrow some of her oil.  She nodded her consent, and nodded once more when they returned, desiring more.  In their cities, her children, now grown, twinkled.  She was content.   However, those who she'd

She was always a stubborn one. That's part of why I liked her so much. As I watched her cross the room, I felt rather than saw her look towards me. Our eyes caught and I tried my best to keep my face emotionless, to not give any of my pain away. Before I could even look away, she was

Finding inspiration

Find inspiration every where.  Make a list.  I collect ideas everywhere and put them onto a Microsoft OneNote program. Do not be afraid if you like something so much that you feel like copying it.  Just make a note that you love it and you are inspired by it.   Do not block it from your mind or worry about copying a piece.  This could determine whether you have a breakthrough as an artist or not.  And one of the best things an artist can hear is that you are inspired by them and had a break through from one of their pieces! Meditate and clear your mind. Trust yourself when you are making a piece and it looks like it is going a different di
